I've always envisioned having a big table in my house, like the one my mom had when we were growing up. Since moving to a bigger house, we were now able to purchase the table I've always wanted. We hosted an Open House this weekend and we got to fill the table with many wonderful friends. It made my heart happy to see so many little ones sitting around our table, sharing a meal. Hopefully it will be the first of many!
Whenever we visit my parents, one of Emerson's favorite things to do is walk the two blocks to the train station and sit and watch trains. She even makes the train noises! So, this weekend we spent some time with my parents and took Emerson on her first train ride.

I was able to keep calm on the Fourth of July and told myself that there was still time left. Now, as August is upon us, I am trying to focus on all the days I still have left----never enough---and enjoy each step.
